Um grupo de mulheres interrompeu a cerimônia do Miss Mundo em 1970, em Londres, fazendo uma crítica ao patriarcado, ao padrão estético inalcançável promovido por esse tipo de concurso e à objetificação feminina. O movimento foi muito comentado, mas não foi a única surpresa da noite. Afinal, quem levou o prêmio foi a Miss Granada Jennifer Hosten, a primeira mulher negra a vencer o concurso.

A comedy-drama based on real events, directed and written by women, it tried to be very faithful to the facts, making a delightful parallel between the women's liberation movement and the Miss World contestants behind the scenes, alternating between funny and revolting moments (especially those the protagonist suffers in college with men).
