Em 1519 o capitão português Fernão de Magalhães arriscou-se a viajar na contramão das grandes navegações e acabou provando que a Terra era redonda. Em 1997 a família Schürmann decidiu realizar uma nova volta ao mundo, seguindo o trajeto feito por Magalhães mais de 5 séculos antes.
